Asset Inventory & Management

Asset Tagging with Barcode & QR

Every asset carries its identity: one scan reveals location, condition, custodian and history.

Tagging is the step that turns an asset register from a file updated annually into a system updated in real time. Without a machine-readable number on the asset itself, every later count remains a costly, error-prone manual exercise.

We tag using labels chosen for the operating environment: polyester for offices, heat- and oil-resistant labels for plants, engraved metal plates for heavy equipment and outdoor settings, and tamper-evident labels for sensitive assets.

Each code is bound to the asset's record in your system or in the tracking platform we provide, so periodic counting becomes a fast scan rather than a full count round, and annual count duration falls substantially after the first cycle.

Who this service is for

  • Manufacturers and industrial facilities
  • Government entities with multiple sites
  • Hospitals and laboratories
  • Hotels and hospitality operators
  • Any entity running a costly manual annual count

How we work

  1. 01

    Selecting the tag type

Choosing label material against heat, humidity, abrasion and the asset's surface.

  2. 02

    Designing the code

Structuring the reference number so it encodes class, location and year.

  3. 03

    Field application

Applying tags in a consistent, scannable position and recording the register link.

  4. 04

    Verification

A sample verification scan confirming readability and correct linkage before close.

Frequently asked questions

What label type do you use in plants?

Polyester or polyimide labels resistant to heat, oils and solvents, and engraved metal plates for equipment exposed to direct abrasion or high temperatures.

Does scanning require special hardware?

QR codes read directly from a phone camera; linear barcodes need a reader or a dedicated app. We recommend QR for entities that want to enable staff without buying hardware.

What if a tag is damaged or removed?

The asset remains recorded under its reference number, and we issue a replacement tag carrying the same number without creating a new record, logging the replacement in the asset history.
